Torrefazione Oke Caffè is a coffee roasting house that has been operating in Florence for fifty years. It was originally founded by Omero Checcucci in 1967 (Oke is a shortened combination of his first and second name) and is now run by his daughter Stefania and son Simone. Although Oke coffee can be found in several places all over Tuscany, the main store is located in Florence, a mere hundred meters from Porta San Frediano.
Without a doubt, my favorite Oke coffee blend is Orientale, an all-arabica blend that combines eight different types of coffee beans from different South America countries. Orientale smells rich and spicy, and tastes mellow and full-bodied. I usually drink it as it is and sometimes use it for intense affogatos.

Tra le tante miscele disponibili, la mia preferita è quella che si chiama Orientale, un blend 100% arabica che unisce chicchi provenienti da otto diversi paesi del Sud America. Il profumo è ricco e speziato, il gusto pieno e rotondo.
