The Unflorentine: Waferino Babbi

Waferino Babbi is the quintessential Italian wafer. It is a thin, crisp, and light-textured cookie, sandwiched with a creamy vanilla or hazelnut filling.

Waferini are produced in Bertinoro (Emilia-Romagna) and come in a beautiful old-fashioned tin. They are delightful in the afternoon as a tea companion or after dinner with luscious desserts, such as ice-cream and zabaione.
