Ingredients: Fichi Secchi di Carmignano

Fichi Secchi di Carmignano (dried figs grown and processed in the Carmignano area) are a Slow Food Presidium. They are first sliced lengthwise, then dried in the sun for four or five days, and eventually placed in a cool room for another forty days. Once they are dry, the figs are stuffed with aniseeds.
