Fattoria di Corazzano is an organic farm located in San Miniato, a beautiful village in the province of Pisa. The fattoria provides a weekly delivery service that makes its produce easily available to Florentines.
Besides fresh fruits and vegetables, it is also possible to order homemade verdure sott’olio (vegetables preserved in oil). I loved the Cavolfiore Sott’olio Biolgico, a jar of organic cauliflower marinated in extra virgin olive oil, wine vinegar, garlic, parsley and pepper. The cauliflower has a fleshy consistency and tastes spicy. You can serve it as part of antipasto platters or use it to make crostini (I find that ricotta and cavolfiore sott’olio is a lovely combination).
