Sweethings is a newly opened vegan pasticceria located in the district of San Frediano. It serves vegan cakes, cookies, pastries, tarts as well as a few savory items, like quiches, crackers, and breads.
It was their Pane di Farro (“farro bread”) that caught my interest. It is dark and dense, has a thick crust and an irregular shape. It tastes nutty and slightly sour. I like it warmed up and spread with apricot jam.
