Shopping List: Paste di Mandorla by Pasticceria Buscioni

Pasticceria Buscioni is an old pastry shop located in the Campo di Marte stadium area. It’s worth driving there to try their superb paste di mandorla, cookie-sized almond pastries that literally melt in the mouth.

Buscioni’s Paste di Mandorla come in different shapes and ingredients – some are made with nuts, others with dried fruits. My favorite pasta di mandorla is a shiny pastry with a whole almond on top. The exterior is chewy and the interior soft and moist. I usually have it with black coffee.
